Apesar do tamanho, \u00e9 muito leve devido \u00e0 sua estrutura interna, onde existem grandes espa\u00e7os vazios, j\u00e1 que \u00e9 feito de tecido \u00f3sseo esponjoso. Mas voc\u00eas j\u00e1 se perguntaram porque ele tem um bico t\u00e3o grande?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O tucano utiliza o bico para regular a quantidade de calor trocada com o ambiente. Quando o ambiente est\u00e1 muito quente, mais sangue \u00e9 enviado para os vasos do bico, que s\u00e3o mais superficiais, facilitando as trocas de calor. Assim o sangue retorna para o resto do corpo ligeiramente mais frio, evitando o superaquecimento da ave.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u00e1 em dias frios, ou a noite, acontece o contr\u00e1rio: menos sangue \u00e9 enviado ao bico, evitando que a ave perca calor para o ambiente desnecessariamente. Pesquisas relatam que durante o p\u00f4r-do-sol, enquanto os p\u00e1ssaros preparavam-se para dormir, os bicos esfriavam cerca de 10 \u00b0C em quest\u00e3o de minutos, mantendo assim o calor no
